in any large organization, an ad campaign is usually the opposite of reality, eg when a for profit company launches an ad campaign with a theme of "our excellent customer service" or " our reputation for quality" you can be sure that the organization has crappy customer service and lousy products.

Right wing types always say for profits have less waste then the gov't
of course, they never account for the asymetry of information flow(1).
If the hosp is counted as for profit by the right wing, then perhaps this is a case where we can show that in fact private, for profit organizations have a *higher* waste/fraud/abuse rate then the gov't.

1) eg, when you drive to work, you see six or seven guys standing around doing nothing at a pothole; you don't see six or seven guys doning nothing in an office

I actually know why you see people standing around and doing nothing at road construction sites. It's an oddity of asphalt laying -- you need seven people for short intensive periods of about 15 minutes at a time, and you don't need them the rest of the time. But when you need them, you need them NOW.
